About Rebekah Rota
Rebekah Rota brings 25 years of international theater experience on and off stage to Wuppertal.

The American received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Grammy Award winner Prof. Lorna Haywood. She has performed over 40 roles in the soprano repertoire at theaters such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Michigan Opera Theater. As a director, she has enjoyed success with her productions of "The Diary of Anne Frank" at the International Penderecki Festival Zabrze and "Così fan tutte" at Michigan Opera, among others. She had also put her enthusiasm for musical theater to work in the artistic direction of special projects.

Rebekah Rota worked at the Landesbühnen Sachsen as deputy chief scheduler and consultant to the opera director. From 2020 to 2022 she was opera manager and deputy opera director at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
