About KS Brigitte Fassbaender
The mezzo-soprano sang at all leading opera stages in the world: New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Milano, London, Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Salzburg and many more. She embodied all major roles of her fach and with this performed a broad range of roles.

In 1995, Brigitte Fassbaender ended her career as a singer. Since then she directed more than 70 productions on national and international stages.

Among her tremendous number of prizes Brigitte Fassbaender was given the title “Kammersängerin” by the Bavarian State Opera and Vienna State Opera. As one of her recent prizes, she was awarded the ECHO classic music prize in 2017 for her artistic life’s work.

Brigitte Fassbaender is dedicated to the empowerment and education of young singing talents. As a renowned singing teacher she gives master classes all over the world, e.g. Bregenzer Festspiele, Eppaner Liedsommer, Heidelberger Frühling, Wigmore Hall, Internationale Hugo-Wolf-Akademie, Internationale Meistersinger-Akademie, Richard-Strauss-Festival
