Marie Hänsel grew up in Radeberg und studied with Prof. Margret Trappe-Weil in Dresden. In 2012, she debuted as Barbarina in „Le Nozze di Figaro“. The following years, she has been singing in various free productions like “Despina” by Mozart and Titania in “Ein Sommernachtstraum” by Benjamin Britten. In 2015, the sopranist gave a guest performance at the Mittelsächsisches Theater Freiberg und she was engaged at the Landesbühnen Sachsen for two productions in the season 2016/17. At the same time, she also began a guest performance at the Staatsoperette Dresden, where she stayed until 2018. Since the season 2017/18, Maria Hänsel is at the Opernhaus Chemnitz, where she has been a fixed member since August 2019.
