Mezzo-soprano Kady Evanyshyn, born in Winnipeg, Canada, is a member of the International Opera Studio at Staatsoper Hamburg. A competitor in the 2019 Wigmore Hall International Song Competition, Kady's broad repertoire ranges from the music of Purcell and Rameau to numerous world premieres. Upcoming performances: Zaide (Il Turco in Italia), Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), and Lorenzo Romano's La Luna (world premiere). Role highlights: Glascha in Katja Kabanova (German debut), Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas (Juilliard Opera, Opera Holland Park, L'Opéra Royal de Versailles), and Annio in La Clemenza di Tito (Aspen Opera Center). Kady earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School in New York, where she studied with Edith Wiens.
