Christiane Libor studied with Prof. Anneliese Fried at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin until 1996. From 1997 she belonged to the song interpretation class of KS. Prof. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and took lessons with Prof. Julia Varady.
In 1998 she was awarded the O. E. Hasse Prize of the Akademie der Künste Berlin. She is also the winner of the VII. International Mozart Competition Salzburg (1999). She attended master classes with Edith Mathis, Peter Schreier, Hans Hotter and Joseph Protschka.
In addition to her stage presence, Christiane Libor is active as a song and concert singer. Performances have taken her to the Schubertiade Feldkirch, to the Richard-Strauss-Festspiele Garmisch-Partenkirchen, to Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, South America, South Africa, etc. She has performed with the great orchestras of her time under conductors such as Jörg Faerber, Helmuth Rilling, Markus Stenz, Kurt Masur and many others.
